Acrylic Paint

Q. I HAVE A DUCT SEALER THAT SAYS IT CAN BE PAINTED WITH LATEX PAINT OR EPOXY PAINT. THE PAINTER IS GOING TO USE ACRYLIC PAINT. IS THERE ANY REASON TO BELIEVE THAT THE ACRYLIC PAINT WILL BE A PROBLEM?

A. I'm not aware of a problem, provided that the surface is properly prepared. Bear in mind that the type of surface prep depends on the type of substrate that you are using.

Best wishes,

Ron Joseph
