When Do You Not Need to Report VOC

Q. We sell a product that is 12% lard oil and 88% napthenic oil. Below is the response from my supplier. Are we VOC compliant? The total amount of volatile compounds in the Acme Concrete NonStick is 0.41%. That is essentially nothing when talking about VOC's. The customer will have to check what limit they are trying to comply with, but there is such a minute amount of voc's in the product that I don't think it will even be an issue.

A. Generally, when the VOC content in the product is <0.1% (for VOC/HAP) or <1.0% (for VOC only) you do not need to report. Be aware that VOC must be measuired by EPA Method 24.

Best wishes,

Ron Joseph
