Selection of Paint Spray Respirator

Q. I am building a kit aircraft that requires etch priming with zinc chromate. I use a 3M 6800 full face mask but would like to know what filter I should use for mask as the plethora of disks available usually only have generic descriptions.

A. My best recommendation would be to either check with the manufacturer of the primer, (they should have the information you need ) or The NIOSH web site, or the web site of the manufacturer of the respirator, in this case 3M company.
