Zinc Chromate Vs. Zinc Phosphate Primer

Q. Which one is better a option for structural steel work with normal environment condition in temp range 8-44 deg c.?

A. Zinc chromate is usually considered more effective for corrosion resistance than zinc phosphate. However, zinc chromate is known to be a carcinogen (cancer causing chemical) and in the USA most companies have stopped using zinc chromate as a primer.
