Fast Dry Lacquer
Q. I am trying to find a rapid dry clear laquer to use for coating arrow shafts. 3 rivers Archery in the US sells a product they call gasket laquer that is used by diping the arrows into a tube through a rubber gasket and drawing them out. This system is very good but unfortunately the products are not available in Canada. It is a nitrocelulouse based laquer. Can you suggest the manufacturer of the laquers that has the fastest drying times so that we can use this system in Canada.
Thank you very much for your help.
A. You don't say what part of Canada you are in, and you don't mention what the shafts are made of. There is a coatings manufacturer in Port Hope, Ontario, Canada just outside of Toronto that specializes in quick dry coatings for wood and other materials. They have several facilities through out Canada, they may have what you are looking for.
