Liquid Paint Trends

Q: Our company is researching new product opportunities in Industrial paint maintenance.  I'm trying to find information on the total number of industrial paint lines in North America and what percentage of these lines use liquid paints (not powder). Also, what is the current market growth/decline of liquid paint lines?

A: I have not seen data on this topic although I'm wouldn't be surprised if someone has done the research. If I were to need this information I would contact the Chemical Market Reporter http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_hb4250, Chemark Consulting www.chemarkconsulting.net or other market analysis companies that work in the paints and coatings industry. If the folks at Chemark (ask for Phil Phillips) don't have a report on this, they might be able to redirect you.
