Pretreatment Washer - Rinsing

Q. What water quality should my company use for the 4 stage washer used to pre-treat aluminum before painting? What should the final stage of the washer TDS be?

A. If you can spend the money, then you should have a tap water rinse followed by at least one deionized water rinse. Some companies add yet another DI halo rinse. The more rinses you apply of pure water (without contaminants) the higher the quality of your pretreatment process.
