Training Programs for Painting Operations
Q. I noticed in the answer to one of the questions in the archive that you said you were going to do some training of agency personnel in Indiana. Have you done it yet and can industry people attend?
A. The training in Indiana was conducted earlier this year. However, you might want to consider the following:
A class that focuses on "Environmental Calculations for Painting Operations" will be held in Monterey, CA from November 18-19, 2002. For a detailed agenda please visit www.ronjoseph.com/calculations.htm. If this class proves to be successful, we will immediately schedule another class for the first quarter of 2003 and will select a location that is more central. We will send you an e-mail notifying you of the date and location.
In the meantime, please also visit http://www.ronjoseph.com/compliancetraining.htm for a different, yet very popular class that includes many of the calculations. The next "Keeping a Paints and Coatings Facility in Compliance with Air Pollution Control Regulations" class will be held in Phoenix from February 25-28, 2003.
A brand new class "Practical Methods to Improve Painting Operations Efficiency" will be held in Atlanta from January 14-16, 2003. This class is not focused on environmental issues, but is intended for supervisors and managers of painting operations who want to learn more about the design and maintenance of spray booths, spray guns, equipment, etc. Much of what they learn will have an immediate impact on Pollution Prevention (P2).
I hope you or your colleagues will be able to attend one of these classes.
