Painting Plastic

Q. What if you sprayed a protectorant (like Top Gun) on some plastic trim on the inside of a car. Can it be cleaned off with something like alcohol and then painted?

A. I don't know the answer to your question since I have not used Top Gun. However, this is something you would need to experiment with yourself. Finally, the type of plastic you intent to paint is also a factor. Not all plastics can be painted.
