Outgassing of Paints in Vacuum

Q. Looking for types of paint which exhibit low volatility when initially exposed to 1E-6 torr vacuum processes.

Do you know of any materials or processes that are acceptable?

A. The Goddard Space Flight Center has a wonderful database of materials that have low potential to outgas. Please visit http://outgassing.nasa.gov/cgi/sectionc/sectionc_html.sh and search for paints. Thereafter you will see a long list of possible coatings and you can then call the appropriate vendors for more information.
