Water-Based Coatings for Glass

Q. I am interested in painting spandrel glass with a water based coating. I need excellent adhesion and the ability to mix colors in house to match customer's color requirements. Will a water-based coating meet my requirements or do I need to look at other types of coatings?

A. A good quality acrylic based water soluble coating will work quite well on glass surfaces. With the acrylic based coatings, color matching is no problem.

Best regards,

Tom Burke
